Ahead of the curve.. In all my interactions with him, Naren always stuck me as somebody who was always ahead of his times. The first time I met Naren was in our IIT hostel in chennai, back in 1980/81, and there was an air of confidence that he exhibited which has stayed with me all thru...... I have known Naren thru his brother Nicky and the relationship between the two brothers were strong, caring, dependable and quite unique...... A clear testament to how much he cared about this relationship. When I was starting my business, I recall reaching out to him in Singapore for pointers and he inspired me to think 'out of the box', yet was very pragmatic in his approach. Then I had an opportunity to see him in London and got a chance to meet his lovely wife as well. Again he impressed me with his business acumen and his flair to pick up things very quickly. He was always a step ahead.... While we may never comprehend his untimely departure from this earth, he has left a rich legacy for his family to build on.....While we will never have any physical interactions with Naren again, his footprints are unmistakably evident in the lives of his dear family and friends..... While we can never question God's mysterious plans, our prayer is that God will provide - his wife, their children and their families, his brother Nicky and family, his sister and family and his dear mother and the rest of the family - the strength to endure this very difficult time.
