Naren had the unique ability to connect with people and make everybody special. I met with Naren on three occassions - while on a visit to London in early 2000, while Naren and family visited Toronto and in Mumbai. Early this year i sent him an email inquiring of his well being and he got back in a positive and unassuming manner. While in London, he treated me and my brother with such kindness and consideration it just was special. Just felt you could talk anything with him. The next was a trip to Canada - while I insisted they stay with us, he stayed in a hotel but met on a daily basis. His kids were young but Naren had the charm and energy to go all over. This is where we really connected. A few years ago, met him in Mumbai at his brothers place. Had a chat and one thing Naren said touched me again - about making others lives better. To my recent email this year inquiring of his health, Naren's response was classic - getting there will get there.
