Naren, as we fondly called him at A F Ferguson Consulting was my first colleague. I joined his team as a fresh Chartered Accountant and there was no better person who could create a better first impression, there will never be. Naren was fresh breeze to me, the way he articulated his thoughts and his candid humor that came with his trademark laugh left a deep impression. He cared as he advised me on what I should be doing in my career. He meticulously followed up though we were colleagues for just a short while. He made it a point to call me and we met two years ago at Raintree Chennai for a drink and dinner and we were the old chums again. In many ways, Naren was my role model, he taught me how to live my life. To me he is still there somewhere in the UK, having his favorite drink with his classic laugh.
